Tap For Pty Ltd (ABN 94 644 910 038) herein referred to as “Tap For” is a registered fundraiser under the Fundrasing Act 1998, registration number FR0016071.

Tap For provides the platform TapForCharity.com.au, herein referred to as “platform”, for accepting electronic/cashless donations on behalf of the selected charities through a network of unattended location points. For each donation made, between 60%-80% (as agreed with the charities) is disbursed to the charities with the remaining being reinvested directly back into the management, maintenance and expansion of the TapForCharity.com.au network.

Selected charities displayed on the platform are organisations/entities that:

• Are defined as a charity in accordance with the meaning of the Charities Act 2013 (Cth).
• Eligible for tax deductible donations under the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Cth).
• Have been verified as to their identity; and do not promote hate, violence, racial intolerance, or engage in illegal activities.

GENERAL CONSENT AND DISCLOSURE OF DATA

As a donor to a selected charity you acknowledge these terms and consent to the collection, use and disclose of personal information provided during the use of the platform.

The types of personal information collected by the platform will vary depending on the information you provide.

If you elect, upon each donation, to not receive a receipt for your donation then no personal information is required and you may complete the transaction. In this circumstance the only information collected is:

• Amount of donation
• Time/date of donation
• Location of donation
• Name of selected charity

Should you elect, upon each donation, to receive a receipt then the following information will also need to be collected in addition to above:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number

All of the above information collected by the platform will only be used for the purposes set out below, and not for any other reason without seeking prior consent unless required by law:

• Collection and acceptance of the donation
• Provision of your donation details to the selected charity for the donation (and no other charity unless)
• Provision of name, email address and phone number to the selected charity for the donation (and no other charity) for the purposes of general communication/marketing from that selected charity
• Continuous improvement of the platform for donors
• Continuous improvement of the platform for charities
• Internal administration
• Analytical assessment of platform operation
• Respond to enquiries

Whilst we disclose your name, email and phone number to the charity you select, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for subsequent use of that information by the charity. If you have any concerns about the use of the information please contact us immediately.

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

All information collected is stored in a private and secure database, only accessed by approved authorised administrators. We have taken all reasonable steps to protect the information collected to prevent the misuse, interference, loss and/or unauthorised access, distribution or modification of such data.

In addition to above, data will be permanently deleted from existing or backed-up data storage locations when it is reasonable deemed, in accordance with relevant laws, that the data is no longer needed.

In sending details TapFor, you acknowledge that electronic communication is not guaranteed to be secure and as such TapFor does not accept responsibility for the security of information sent to or received from us.

ACCURACY OF INFORMATION

TapFor can only assume that any personal information provided by you is correct, complete and current. If the personal information you have provided has changed, you may need to update your information with us to ensure continuity of the use of this information as set out above.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

A cookie is a small data file that TapForCharity.com.au may write to your device when you visit. This file contains information such as user ID to track and improve the usability of website visits.
